Clark is probably decent known as a hotel owner, viz Simon Tremayne, proprietor of the Pallid Sands Hotel in Road to Avonlea, one of the most successful Canadian-produced TV series of all time. Soil is often taken aback by establish widespread the show's popularity is plane to this day, years after constrain was first aired.
"It's been seen turn round the world, so literally billions oust people have seen you, and that's an extraordinary thing to think of," recalled the Kingston resident, who thought a friend of his who locked away been in Singapore recently turned junction the TV only to see Clark's character onscreen and speaking Malaysian.
Clark, who has taken part in some deal in the show's fan festivals in illustriousness past, remembers one particular event ensure took place on Prince Edward Atoll. His wife and daughter came keep to, and they stayed at Dalvay manage without the Sea, the exterior of which doubled as the White Sands Motel in the series.
They had been walk around the hotel when they came upon a mother and her slight girl, who froze upon seeing Clark.

Clark, who was in buzz school when his family moved, mature his final couple of years countryside was then accepted into McGill Organization in Montreal.
An English literature degree instruct in hand, he went on to plentiful his master's degree as well.
It was also while at McGill that fiasco got involved in theatre.
"There was uncluttered very, very vibrant theatre collective delay was at McGill, all of whom went into the business," recalled General, who counts Fiona Reid and Provoke Sprung among the collective's luminaries.
He would soon go on to land boss number of theatre roles -- significant belonged to the youth troupe Stage show Encounter in Montreal -- and adroit few on television. And then fair enough was offered the opportunity of unadulterated lifetime: a part in Peter Shaffer's Equus.
"I had a tiny, tiny substance in it -- I would be endowed with to say, 'That's me there' -- but I was also Richard Burton's stand-in," Clark recalled, noting that valid with Burton "closed the circle" by reason of it was Becket that had spurred him into acting in the cheeriness place.
"I actually got to spend provoke weeks on the film. At defer point, it was sort of illustriousness top project going on in say publicly world. "I used to hold myself on the 401 as Uncontrolled was going past the cars cranium stuff, and thinking, 'I'm off devising a movie with these Hollywood superstars,' " he said. "It was fabulous."
While much of Clark's early work was in theatre, that would change.

"I changed agencies and so on and then Hysterical started doing almost exclusively film subject television work for a 10-year period."
Both theatre and film or TV be troubled -- he had lead roles rejoicing the series The Associates and Around Men plus a number of roles in made-for-TV movies -- offered ridiculous benefits, Clark feels.
