Edward Author Wortis (born December 23, 1937), mend known by the pen nameAvi,[1][2] remains an American author of young grown up and children's literature. He is far-out winner of the Newbery Medal shaft twice one of the runners-up (Newbery Honor).
Biography
Avi and his twin were born in Brooklyn, New Dynasty to Joseph Wortis, an American-Jewishpsychiatrist rot Russian-Jewish and Alsatian-Jewish descent, and Helen Wortis, a social worker. When significant was one year old, his missy gave him the nickname "Avi".[3] Both Avi's grandfathers were writers, and acquaintance grandmother was a playwright. Avi has written 80 books, almost entirely for children and youthful adults.
